We export globally to strict deadlines with well-established systems and are seeking a Sales & Aftersales Manager to develop and lead a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
Role: Finance Assistant- Purchase Ledger
Main duties:
• Maintenance of purchase ledger including payments and contras
• Maintenance of sales ledger and cash book including highlighting credit control issues, intercompany recharging and banking
• Online banking
• Completion of month end processes including accruals
• Undertake purchase ledger administration
• Create/amend purchase accounts
• Post invoices, average 800 to 1000 per month
• Make payments by bacs/fundsflow
• Recharge spreadsheet, sent to Wendy before closure
• Agree/contra/pay inter company
• Agree supplier statements/chase invoices
• Reconcile credit card statement
• Agree month end aged creditors
Person Specification:
• Ability to plan and manage time and workload effectively in order to meet deadlines
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office 365, especially excel
• Organised and logical approach to work
• High attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills both written and orally
• Enthusiastic, reliable and flexible team player with high expectations of self and others
• Competent in the use and purpose of Technology with excellent IT skills
• Strong mathematics skills
• Able to work under pressure, on own initiative and constantly seek to improve
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders of all levels
• Experience of working within a similar role within a Finance department
• Understanding of the Kerridge system, desirable but not essential
Hours:
35 hours per week:
9.00am- 4.30pm with a 40 minute lunch break (30 minutes unpaid, 10 minutes paid by the company), we could also accommodate the following work pattern as well:
8.00am-3.30pm with a 40 minute lunch break (30 minutes unpaid, 10 minutes paid by the company)
Location: Oldbury, West Midlands with the potential of home working
To begin with, this will be an office based role, whilst induction and training is undertaken with other members of the department. Once the candidate has demonstrated their ability to work independently and competently in the role whilst demonstrating their ability for us to trust them, we will be able to offer a home working option should this be of interest to the candidate.
Home working will only be offered if the candidate can demonstrate their suitability for the role in line with GDPR, our commitment to confidentiality and ability to trust them to undertake their role responsibly at home.
Hourly Rate: £12.85
Per annum: £23,387.00 (based on 35 hours per week)

Parts Advisor

Overview of the Role:
You will take and process orders through various communication channels in a highly professional and polite manner, often high-volume phone calls. The ideal candidate will need to have an understanding of motor vehicle mechanics and have worked in a sales and customer service role previously. You will also use our sales systems for business development by using your initiative to identify sales leads and opportunities with customers based on the data you find within the systems. You will work with a dedicated team providing excellent customer service at all times. You will also build strong relationships with internal departments in order to undertake your job role effectively and efficiently.

Key Tasks:
Liaise with customers via all communication channels including by telephone, email, face to face and through our website
Establish customers’ requirements for parts availability and delivery
Take orders and payments, raise purchase requisitions and liaise with credit control
Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships through all communication channels
Maintaining and providing comprehensive product information to customers
Understanding and demonstrating customer care and high levels of customer service
Confidently making and closing sales, looking for link selling opportunities where appropriate and identifying new business opportunities
Visit customers as required
Use internal stock control, customer relationship management and sales systems
Represent DMG at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations and carry out the above tasks as required
Match outputs with customer requirements as appropriate
Person Specification:
Understanding of motor vehicle mechanics is essential
An understanding of internal stock control, customer relationship management and sales systems
Polite and professional communication style to all stakeholders
Enthusiastic, reliable and flexible team player that conducts themselves professionally
Able to work to deadlines and manage time effectively
High attention to detail
Effective communicator
Hourly Rate:
£11.84
Salary:
£24,627.20 Please note this is the guaranteed salary. We do not operate any commission or bonus schemes
Hours:
40 hours per week, usual hours: 9.00am- 5.30pm Monday to Friday with a 40 minute break. There may be a requirement to work additional hours for events such as shows, including evenings and weekends. This is worked on a rota basis and overtime will be paid.
