If not all of your order is actually in stock, what happens next depends upon circumstances. If 80% or more of your order is available for immediate delivery, and the remainder can be delivered by letter post, then we may choose, without reference to you, to deliver your partial order at once.

The remaining part of your order will be delivered when it becomes available, free of delivery charges.

All other cases of partial availability will be dealt with by arrangement with your.

If you place a further order to be delivered at the same time as your original back-ordered parts, then that will be subject to a further delivery charge since it probably can no longer be delivered by letter post.

David Manners Group (consisting of David Manners Limited, Abingdon MG Parts Limited) ship parts worldwide. Conditions imposed by our card issuer Sagepay require that if you pay by credit or debit card, we may only deliver to the address at which your card is registered. We will provide the optimum delivery service for your parcel consistent with minimum cost and adequate speed.

The cost of delivery depends largely on several factors - where in the world is it to be sent, how quickly do you want it delivered, how valuable is it, and most important of all, how heavy or bulky is your order? The first three factors may be known, but in many cases the weight and bulk cannot be known until your order is packed.

We have around 15,000 stock lines, for most of which we know the weight. Yet we can also supply around 75,000 other lines from our suppliers and we will not usually know the weight of these before they are delivered to us. Another consideration is that sometimes the packaging itself can have significant weight - for example heavy items have to be in strong containers, and delicate items such as windscreens or panels have to be well-protected.

We also draw your attention to the fact that an increasing number of countries levy an additional import tax or customs duty which is nothing to do with us, but which you do have to pay. In case of doubt, please contact your own countries' Customs and Excise department to establish what this charge (if any) may be.

As there is so much to take into consideration and no two parcels are the same we will only be able to process orders for delivery into the United Kingdom without quoting for shipping. All other orders placed will be quoted for on an individual basis so we can make sure we get the best price for your needs.

Please be aware that Northern Ireland and the Highlands of Scotland may also incur extra costs when delivering.

Which countries are included in the UK?

The following countries are included in our definition of the UK for delivery purposes: England, Northern Ireland, much of Scotland and Wales. For deliveries to the Republic of Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Islands please ask for a quotation on shipping.

How will it be delivered?

All items delivered to a UK address will be dispatched via APC on a 24-48 hour service unless you contact us to fast track your order. We charge £12.60 for this 24-48 hour service, however if we are able to ship your parcel for a lower rate (this is dependent on size and weight) we will do so. This will not delay your delivery time. If we are able to send your parcel using a cheaper service then we will refund the difference. 

We will only be able to send to the cardholders registered address and APC will be given your contact details (a mobile phone number or email address) so that they can advise you of your delivery slot and give you the opportunity to change the delivery date or delivery to neighbour etc.

Be prepared to have someone available to sign for the goods.

If your need is particularly urgent, and the parts you order are in stock, we can - at extra cost - deliver by the following morning, in some cases before 9am.  You will need to order directly by telephone for this service to be effective. Please see below for a table of costs for next day and before noon services.

The main carrier we use for European and Rest of the World deliveries is DHL. However as there are so many variations to delivery charges depending on country, post code, customs charges and surcharges, weights and parcels length and size  we have decided to make all deliveries to these countries quote only. For example Switzerland and Norway impose an extra £25 for customs clearance. Even within France we cannot standardise the delivery costs.

Whilst we realise that this will slow your delivery down and not allow you to make the purchase online immediately the Company feels that it is better to give you an accurate shipping quote rather than an estimate. It may also be possible for us to find an alternative company that specialises in deliveries to your area which will make the charges lower for you.

We may give the carrier company your contact details (an email address) so they can update you on your delivery. In most cases they won’t give you a specific time but they will confirm date. If the carrier is having difficulty finding your address then we may give them your phone number so that they can liaise with you directly.

DHL offers two services Express and Economy, delivery times on both will vary dependant on country and area. Charges for economy service start from £24.00 +VAT at 20% for a parcel up to 25 kilos and express parcels start at £40.00 + VAT up to a weight of 20 kilos. However because of the restrictions on dimensions and weight varying across Europe and the Rest of the World and surcharges imposed we can only offer this as an outline. It is better therefore to quote all customers for these delivery destinations.  We can come back to you very quickly with a cost and in most cases your shipment won’t be delayed more than 24 hours in the working week.

For very large deliveries we can palletise them and send via a freight company who specialise in these types of delivery which will be more economical for the customer.
